Let's Get Complicated

Sex

One of the thinks I love about Mr. A is how frank he is about sex.  And not many people these days talk about politics and sex in one breath.  Mill Maher used to on Politically Incorrect.   It's a part of the show I really like and it's something that I'd like to work into this discussion forum.  But I'm running into two problems:

1) It seems like this discussion board is, so far, predominantly male.  I don't actually know this, because I can't tell when people sign up if they are male of female, but that seems to be the case.  I hope it changes because ladies are awesome.  But for now it's hard to strike up a sex convo with 13 other dudes.

2) I'm married now and sex means something different to me than it did when I was single.  I moved the "What's Your Number" poll to the "Anything Else" thread and I unstickied it.  I mean, I'm still actually pretty interested to know how many sexual partners people have had, but I don't want the question to come off lame or testosteroney.  So I'm going to let it slip to the bottom if no one wants to answer it.  Pornography and sex with my wife are pretty much my only sexual outlets now, and it makes me kind of sad to say that I don't really have any questions about either of those.  At least none that I think the 13 other dudes who populate this board can answer right now.

We could help you choose a better alternative for lovemaking music than a radio station that periodically plays promos for "This American Life" while yer tryin' ta get frisky.

A good friend of mine--another AP teacher--periodically says to me, "Hey man, that sounds like 'thrusting music.'"  It is at this point that he begins to ball-up his fists, use an invisible something-or-another to grab onto, and thrust his pelvis back and forth in the air.  It's even funnier considering he is a 6' 3" half-Vietnamese/half-Italian New Yorker.

All that to say, he and I consider most of Tool's discography to be "thrust-worthy" and capable of being playing on any playlist for crazy monkey sex.  Start off slow with a little Chris Isaak ("Wicked Game") and Sade ("No Ordinary Love")--or Deftones' remake of it--and then move right into Tool's "Parabol" and "Parabola."

Oh, and this is tangentially related ("men and women are different, duh" category"), but hilarious nonetheless...
